timm's Trikes Events
Sunday, September 28th there were 16 Trikes and 4 two wheelers that went on the 5 River Run led by Barb Butturff. Midwest Pride One Chapter road through the winding country hills of Wisconsin and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. It was fascinating to see all 5 of the rivers while on our 200 mile ride. As we stopped for lunch at Beth’s Café in Nelson, Wisconsin we took the opportunity for a photo shoot.
Their were storm clouds looming overhead as several chapter members of Midwest Pride One in conjunction with a few members of Winona HOG Chapter met for a ride. The view was beautiful as we road in and out of the hills and valleys to our destination at Rockton, WI for their popular outdoor grilled chicken. We were not disappointed, the food was terrific! We were teased most of the day by the weather but that was the extent of it.
A stop at Culvers was where different ones said their “Goodbye’s”. It was another fun day of riding with old friends, and meeting new ones.
Midwest Pride One chapter members left Timm’s Trikes with the expectations of a terrific overnight ride but what was in store for them turned out to be an unexpected adventure. Weather wise it was a beautiful day and life was good…… well, until they traveled about 150 miles. The black clouds were looming over head as the sprinkles started. The next 100 miles or so was a very wet and windy ride. They were real troopers as they continued to their destination at the Black Bear Casino in Cloquet, MN. Returning home their ride started out very cool for this time of year. As they ended their 550 mile trip one could hear the echoing of what a fun time they had getting to know new members, scrumptious food, stories of the rain and who won what games.
On June 14th & 15th Timm’s Trikes sponsored their 1st annual Father’s Day Rally in St. Charles, MN. Along with exceptionally great weather there was a food wagon, several vendors, scenic rides, trike show, special dinner coach ride, free camping, bonfire and prizes every 10–15 minutes. Evangelist Lee Downey, of Six Seasons, presented the Sunday morning worship service. Zeb Downey entertained us with his accordion and fiddle accomplishments. Penny & Randy Pieschke won the peoples choice first place in the trike show which was sponsored by Midwest Pride One Chapter; Barbara Butturff won second place; and third place went to Dave and Donna Busse.
Because Al & Jan were so thankful for all of the work the chapter members graciously helped with they had a surprise drawing of just the chapter workers of that weekend. Rhonda Schell won a Lehman Ring and Dave Pollema won a Lehman watch for their efforts. We would like to give a big “Thank You” to Midwest Pride One Chapter as they worked diligently wherever they were needed.
It was a fantastic weekend for everyone!
It was a gorgeous day for Dave Goranson to lead the Midwest Pride One Chapter Ride. We were weaving around hills and curves of all sorts somewhere in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. We each brought a sack lunch and stopped at a road side park for a leisurely lunch. The end to a beautiful day was a stop at Nelson, WI for ice cream.
It was a cool day to have our Road Captain, Steve Verthein, lead Midwest Pride One Chapter through the Apple Blossom Countryside near La Crescent, MN. A stop was made at Pickwick, MN for a scrumptious buffet. The Creamery in Rushford was our next stop where we satisfied our craving for ice cream.
