March 7, 2010 - Chapter Chili Dump

March 7th was another beautiful day for Midwest Pride One Chapter to hold their annual Chili Dump. For anyone that is unfamiliar with the event… each couple brought a quart of chili and they dump it together and let it simmer. We had a short meeting and then a lot of friendly conversation as we enjoyed our chili and all the fixings.

January 10, 2010 - Christmas Party

January 10, 2010 Midwest Pride One had 32 people in attendance for their annual Christmas Party. There was eating, laughter, jokes, hugs, and more laughter and then a short meeting. Everyone had a terrific time and each person went home with a prize. Holding true to tradition… their was home made ice cream!

August 22-23, 2009 - Chapter Ride

Midwest Pride One’s overnight ride to the Ho Chunk Casino in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Dave Goranson led 15 riders through the beautiful back roads of hills and valleys. The chapter surprised Jan Timm when they made a quick stop to see her parents, Ken & Marian Burdick, who live on a hobby farm in La Valle. Once again our chapter had two wonderful days of enjoying their Lehman Trikes as they road through the beautiful countryside and topped off their ride with meaningful fellowship.

August 9, 2009 - Chapter Ride

August 9th of 2009 was perfect riding weather for Midwest Pride One Chapter. There were 15 riders that enjoyed winding through the scenic hills and valleys of Wisconsin. The surprise spot chosen for lunch was Buzz’s Bar & Grill in Mondovi, WI. Although the food was very good and satisfying… the day was calling for us to ride!!! This ride was enjoyed by all as John Durenberger led our chapter through some of the most beautiful scenic places in the area. A tasty end to a beautiful day was our ice cream stop in Nelson.

June 7, 2009 - Chapter Ride

Midwest Pride One Chapter ride into Wisconsin was set for June 7th. It was a cool overcast day as the weather teased the riders into thinking it would rain…. But it didn’t! Stopping at the Norske Nook for lunch in Osseo, was a wise choice made by road captain Charlie Larson. Everyone was filled to the brim as they continued on the beautiful scenic ride.

May 17, 2009 - Chapter Ride

Twenty riders of Midwest Pride One Chapter were anxious to go on their first official chapter ride of the season on May 17th. The air was cool but…. Ohhhh what a nice ride it was! After winding through the countryside we stopped at Susie’s Road House in Ostrander, MN for a scrumptious lunch. Before the ride ended we decided to stop at the Rushford Creamery to check out their wide variety of ice cream.

March 8, 2009 - Chapter Chili Dump

It was a cool crisp day on March 8th when Midwest Pride One Chapter held their annual Chili Dump. For anyone that is unfamiliar with the event….. Each couple brought a quart of chili and they dump it together and let it simmer. We had a short meeting to firm up rides, hand out some phone numbers; we also had an update on two member’s health, and congratulated two couples that just got married. With chili and all the fixings, good friends and good fellowship it was a fun and filling day.

January 11, 2009 - Chapter Christmas party

Midwest Pride One Chapter started the year out with their annual Christmas celebration and party. The ice and snow storm we had was very intimidating and yet, to our surprise, we still had 24 in attendance. Members were entertained with a verity of Christmas legends that were read, a (logic test) game that was played, and guessing the number of M&M’S in the jar. There was a wonderful assortment of food to choose from….. and that we did! A wonderful time was had by all.
