timm's Trikes Events

On a gorgeous, picture perfect day, the Gladiolus Day parade took place on August 24th in St. Charles, MN. In its eighth year, Timm’s Trikes, Inc was represented in full force! This yearly tradition is not just about the parade… It starts on Sunday morning with a scrumptious BBQ pork lunch with all the extras. Midwest Pride One members that are participating in the parade hold a short meeting and then it’s time to get the trikes “parade-ready”. Gladiolas or American flags are the decoration of choice. This year about 25 trikes proudly displayed our nation’s flag as they glided along the parade route and were met with rounds of cheers and applause from the welcoming crowd. The sight of all the magnificent machines in parade form is simply beautiful! The yearly participation of Midwest Pride One members, and the Timm’s Trikes truck and trailer is a truly wonderful addition to the parade in this small, southeastern Minnesota town. When the parade route ends, all participants and their trikes are part of a yearly group photo that is taken in a scenic spot in St. Charles. These photos can be viewed in the Timm’s Trikes showroom and are quite impressive. The fun-filled day concludes back at Timm’s where everyone gladly indulges in refreshing rootbeer floats and friendly conversation. We hope to see this tradition grow each year. The “Cruise” $104,884.00 raised for the Ronald McDonald House!

Sunday, July 27th was the 8th annual “Cruise” motorcycle benefit ride for the Ronald McDonald house in Rochester, MN. There were 1,257 registered riders that participated in the 103 mile ride through the hills and valleys of southeastern Minnesota. Timm’s Trikes was privileged to be a part of this auspicious event by being the last scheduled stop before the event’s finale in Rochester. As riders gathered in Rochester they joined other generous folks who registered for door prizes and bid from their hearts at the silent and live auctions that were held. The most anticipated part of the day for the children and families at the Ronald McDonald house was the police escorted parade of bikes that went by for them all to enjoy. The motorcycle parade is truly inspiring and quite emotional for all. The kids love it! The “Cruise” is the largest motorcycle benefit ride in southeastern Minnesota. All makes of bikes and people from around the country make this a yearly miracle for the families at Ronald McDonald House.

On June 14th & 15th Timm’s Trikes sponsored their 1st annual Father’s Day Rally in St. Charles, MN. Along with exceptionally great weather there was a food wagon, several vendors, scenic rides, trike show, special dinner coach ride, free camping, bonfire and prizes every 10–15 minutes. Evangelist Lee Downey, of Six Seasons, presented the Sunday morning worship service. Zeb Downey entertained us with his accordion and fiddle accomplishments. Penny & Randy Pieschke won the peoples choice first place in the trike show which was sponsored by Midwest Pride One Chapter; Barbara Butturff won second place; and third place went to Dave and Donna Busse. Because Al & Jan were so thankful for all of the work the chapter members graciously helped with they had a surprise drawing of just the chapter workers of that weekend. Rhonda Schell won a Lehman Ring and Dave Pollema won a Lehman watch for their efforts. We would like to give a big “Thank You” to Midwest Pride One Chapter as they worked diligently wherever they were needed. It was a fantastic weekend for everyone!

It was a beautiful day for Al & Marita’s Fun Run. Everyone met, about noon, at Timm’s Trikes. After a few snacks and some socializing they were on their way. Wherever the road takes them … it was bound to be a fun run.
